Wild boar chasing is a traditional sports competition of the She ethnic minority in Jingning County. It was created and spread by the She people in their long-term labor practice. The She ethnic group is an ancient ethnic group with a long history and culture. Historically, most of the She people lived in the mountains and made a living by farming, mainly planting sweet potatoes, soybeans, corn and other crops. There are many wild animals in the mountains, especially wild boars, which have the greatest destructive power on crops. Therefore, wild boars are a big concern for the She people, so organized wild boar chasing has become an important activity for the She people. In order to better achieve the effect of driving away wild boars, the She people usually train the methods and skills of driving wild boars. The She people use bamboo balls as wild boars and wooden sticks as earth guns. They are divided into two teams and compete to chase and beat "wild boars". After development, it has gradually evolved into a traditional sports competition of the She people. Its tactics are rich and the confrontation is fierce. Through competition, the She people's speed, endurance, agility and the ability to cooperate in unity and mutual assistance have been effectively improved. This project participated in the 8th National Ethnic Minority Sports Conference and won the second prize.
