While effectively treating various bone injuries, it has special effects on intractable bone diseases such as sequelae of bone injuries and nonunion. "Bone-setting meridian paste" contains rich content of Chinese medicine's four diagnoses and eight principles of dialectical treatment, and has significant effects of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, relieving inflammation and pain, and dispersing nodules. Especially while eliminating the compression inflammation of bone injuries, it can also eliminate bone hyperplasia. It has a unique effect that is not available in general bone injury pastes. The origin of Zhang's bone-setting technique can be traced back to the Republic of China period, and it has a history of more than 100 years. The family moved from the imperial physician ancestor to Dongyun Township, Linyi, and the descendants moved to Dawa Village, Tashan Town (formerly Tucheng Township), the "ancient capital of Jucheng" in Ganyu. By the time of Zhang Yilian, it had been passed down for four generations.
