Gao Hongliu's soldering iron painting is a traditional art project in the third batch of Huai'an's representative projects of municipal intangible cultural heritage. Historical evolution: soldering iron painting is a kind of painting that uses soldering iron as a pen. The operator skillfully controls the temperature and the duration of the soldering iron, as well as various operating techniques, to draw the depth, thickness, distance and other effects on the wooden board, paper, leaves, etc., which are used as drawing boards. It has a unique charm. The soldering iron painting has a long history. According to research, as early as the early Eastern Han Dynasty, there were soldering flowers as tribute to the palace. In the archaeological excavations in the lower reaches of the Huaihe River, the patterns of soldering flowers in the Song Dynasty were also found. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, soldering iron painting had become a relatively mature handicraft. After the electric soldering iron was introduced into China in the early Republic of China, the soldering iron painting craft was further developed and prospered, and the soldering iron painting was basically inherited all over the country. Basic content Gao Hongliu is from Hongze District, Huai'an City. He was born deaf and dumb. When he was young, he was taught by Wang Huaiyao, a local iron painting artist. Since then, he has studied hard and studied hard, mastered the iron painting techniques, and became an excellent iron painting artist. Gao Hongliu's iron painting uses iron as a brush, basswood and willow wood as drawing boards, and polishes the drawing boards with fine sand. He uses the temperature of iron and the length of burning time and various operation techniques to replace the techniques of Chinese painting such as drawing, drawing, dotting, dyeing, rubbing, and line drawing to create lifelike characters, landscapes, animals, and calligraphy works that are either elegant and free, or majestic, or heroic and vigorous. The surface of the finished work is also coated with varnish, and framed after air drying for easy storage and collection. As an excellent traditional folk craft, iron painting can not only express the artistic conception of Chinese painting, but also achieve the rigorous realistic effect of Western painting. It has a unique artistic charm and brings people a beautiful enjoyment. However, because it requires the artist to have a certain foundation in art, and long-term learning and practice, and the economic benefits are limited, the iron painting craft, especially the special techniques explored and mastered by some predecessors in practice, is not passed on to the public, and it is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
