Gemstone Craft Paintings are developed and produced by Guangxi Gem Research Institute. They are artistic tools that combine gemstones and paintings. They use colorful gemstones as raw materials, cut and polished to show their original colors, and use Chinese and Western painting techniques to express mountain and river landscapes, flowers and birds, people, and folk customs according to the shapes of gemstones. They are made into cabinet pendants, plates, vases, and screens of various specifications. The pictures are magnificent, with a relief three-dimensional sense and rich expressiveness. In 1991, they won the gold medal of the National "Seventh Five-Year Plan" Spark Achievement Expo. In addition to supplying tourists to Guangxi, they are also exported to Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
