The ancient Zhongyan - Lao Temple Fair has a long history and is famous for its large-scale Buddhist activities, authentic folk performances, and traditional local specialty product exhibitions. The "ox-drawn cart" statues at the Yuquan scenic spot in Zhongyan Temple record the earliest grand temple fair in China: the - statues were placed on floats and paraded through cities and towns, with lions leading the team to ward off evil spirits, followed by treasure covers and banners, and music, acrobatics, and other activities. During the Spring Festival every year, the red walls and green tiles, green mountains and bamboos, pavilions and halls of the thousand-year-old Zhongyan, the place where Su Dongpo first fell in love, are filled with bustling crowds, strong religious activities, a wide range of goods, snacks with different characteristics, and colorful folk cultural performances, forming a unique modern folk painting, known as the "Carnival of the Green God."
