The "Knife Mountain" in Baocheng Village, Chengcheng County was founded in 1933 by two old villagers, Jiao Liubao and Jiao Caimao, based on the improvement of the folk acrobatics "Fu Lao Gan". On the 23rd day of the first lunar month in 1934, the unprecedented double-pole "Knife Mountain" was raised for the first time. It has been passed down and eight "Knife Mountain" art festivals have been held. Its characteristics are hanging, high, sharp, strange, dangerous and beautiful. Although the "Knife Mountain" has a history of less than 100 years, its lineup and performance form are superior to those of the ancients, fully demonstrating the courage and wisdom of the people of Baocheng Village. Historical Origin Baocheng "Knife Mountain" was founded in 1933 by two old artists, Jiao Liubao and Jiao Caimao, villagers of Baocheng Village. After appreciating the folk acrobatics of "supporting the old pole" in another village, the two old men thought that the single pole performance was monotonous and not suspenseful, and they had the idea of improving it. It happened to be Jiao Caimao's 60th birthday. Before the meal was served, several old men tied up the trial production with chopsticks, and agreed that the suspense, strangeness, height, profit, danger and beauty should be added. In the first month of 1934, during the temple fair in Baocheng Village, it was decided that the unprecedented double-pole "knife mountain" was first supported on the 23rd day of the first month. The basic content of the "knife mountain" is to tie up several sections of wooden sticks, build a pole ladder more than 20 meters high, and use the guillotine as a grid. Six warriors "climbed the knife mountain" and passed through the gap between the knives. Then they performed phoenix wings, double and single spread, true and false feet, sideways picking stars, monkey looking at the moon, empty four gates, scorpion tail, single-arm stick, upside down drilling mat tube, single-foot picking food, upside down pole top, etc. Basic features: 1. Suspended, with a sand scoop as the base, bearing a weight of two tons, and double cross wooden rafters on top, erected high in the air, providing performance space for performances. 2. High, it can be described as wanting to tattoo the sky, and it can swing about one meter without wind. 3. Sharp, it can cut hair with a blow, and the guillotine is sharp and shining. 4. Strange, it is strange that the double poles are connected by the guillotine blade. It is a hundred times more difficult to perform with a single pole. 5. Dangerous, the performers drill through the guillotine space, and the difficulty of performing at high altitude is quite high, which is beyond the reach of ordinary people. 6. Beautiful, the double poles are erected, majestic, cypress branches are entangled, beautiful, double-sided red flags are fluttering in the wind, four strings of bells are ringing continuously, six people are on board, each showing their unique skills and skills, all in sight. Main value: 1. Historical research value: "Knife Mountain" evolved from "Fu Lao Gan", which was a form of ancient martial arts competition. Although "Knife Mountain" has a history of less than 100 years, its lineup and performance form are superior to those of the ancients, fully demonstrating the courage and wisdom of the people of Baocheng Village. 2. Art appreciation value: "Knife Mountain" combines acrobatics, martial arts, and dance. Most of the performers are brave and courageous young people. During the performance, they not only dance gracefully, but also thrilling and exciting, making people nervous, but also pleasing to the eye. 3. Folklore research value: From the perspective of each "Knife Mountain", there is a manifestation of the folk "welcoming gods, worshipping gods, and sending gods off", which is a form of folk activities.
