Inner Mongolia
🎧  Listen to Introduction

Mongolian stringed instruments include Chaoer, Matouqin and Sihu. Chaoer is similar in shape to Matouqin. Matouqin is mostly used for solo (lead), duet, ensemble, and concerto with symphony orchestra and orchestra. In Taoli's singing, Matouqin is often a prop in the hands of actors. Sihu is not only an accompaniment for Mongolian rap singing, but can also be used as duet, ensemble, ensemble and solo in folk music bands and mixed bands, and can make up for the lack of high pitch in folk music bands. Horqin Right Middle Banner is located in the heart of Horqin grassland in Inner Mongolia. The local Mongolian stringed instrument making skills are inseparable from Taoli, Holibo, Uliger and Horqin narrative folk songs, and are one of the most typical traditional skills of the banner. There are more than 20 Mongolian stringed instrument workshops of various sizes in the banner, with hundreds of skilled craftsmen, of which more than 50 have become professional craftsmen and production artists. The Mongolian stringed instrument making skills embody the wisdom, creativity and professionalism of the working people. They not only have historical and academic value, but also have practical daily value, artistic value, humanistic value and economic value.
