Huanxian Folk Songs
Folk songs are folk ballads, which are collective oral poetry creations of the working people. Huanxian folk songs have a long history and are graceful. As early as the Zhou Dynasty, Qingyang produced poems that chanted the ancient Bin society and the lives of the ancestors, such as "Binfeng July", "Daya Gong Liu", "Xiaoya Caiwei", "Binfeng Dongshan", etc. They either express the joys and sorrows of farmers' labor, or express the homesickness of soldiers, or praise the merits of Zhou ancestors. These ballads are included in the earliest collection of poems in my country, "The Book of Songs", and have become a precious cultural heritage of my country. The development of Huanxian folk songs can be roughly divided into three stages. The first is the traditional folk songs sung by the people before the Republic of China; the second is the rise of revolutionary struggles in Huanxian, especially the red revolutionary ballads spontaneously created by the people after the liberation of Huanxian in 1936; the third is the new folk songs from the liberation of the country to today that reflect socialist construction and the good life of the people. Huanxian folk songs use metaphors, exaggeration, overlap, homophony and other expression techniques. The lyrics are mostly seven-character sentences. If there are four sentences, the first, second and fourth sentences rhyme. If there are two sentences, all sentences rhyme. Its music tunes are mostly national Zheng mode, and the form structure is mostly two-sentence single-segment body or four-sentence single-segment body. The two-sentence reflects the symmetry characteristics, and the four-sentence reflects the structural characteristics of the national music of beginning, inheritance, transition and combination. Huanxian traditional folk songs mainly include complaints, labor songs, life songs, marriage songs, love songs, historical legend songs, ritual songs, etc. Complaint songs: In feudal society, the people of Huanxian lived in great hardship, and they could only complain through songs, such as "The Hardship of Long-term Workers" and "Suffering from Famine". Labor songs: People created a large number of labor songs in the process of labor. The most famous one is "Tamping Song", which has no specific lyrics, only some function words connected together, and the melody rhythm is scattered and romantic and free. Life songs: Most of them reflect the lives of the masses, such as "Ding the Jar" and "Cutting Leeks", etc.; there are also songs that persuade people to turn over a new leaf, such as "Ten Persuading Husbands". Marriage songs: In feudal society, the majority of women were oppressed, tortured, and all the songs denounced feudal ethics, such as "Tortured" and "Engagement at the Thirteenth Year". Love songs: The strict feudal etiquette could not restrain the hearts of young men and women. They pursued true love and looked forward to a sweet life, and expressed their joys and sorrows in songs. Such as "Cousins", "Thinking of My Lover", "Going West", etc. Historical legend songs: The content includes Buddhist classics, Taoist teachings, heroes and loyal martyrs, filial sons and grandsons, historical allusions, and folk anecdotes, such as "Ten Lamps". Ritual songs: Mainly songs sung in folk activities, sacrificial celebrations, and songs describing the seasons, such as Taoist scriptures such as "Praise of the Gods" and seasonal songs such as "Frozen Ice". Red revolutionary ballads mainly include political songs and love songs. In terms of content, the stage opposition emotions are very sharp and prominent, with strong propaganda, inspiration, combativeness, full of emotions and enthusiasm; love songs and life songs are all very revolutionary. Such as "Our Leader Mao Zedong", "The Battle of Shanchengbao Was Well Fought", "Sending Lover", etc. New folk songs are mainly folk songs created by the method of "putting new wine in old bottles" on the basis of traditional folk songs and red revolutionary ballads, such as "Today We Have Become Rich". There are many folk songs in Huan County with rich content, but in terms of expression, there are mainly three categories: labor songs, ditties and Xintianyou. Labor songs: It is a song sung by people when they work together such as tamping. Its musical rhythm and melody are consistent with the rhythm of labor, and are repeated regularly. It is sung in the form of one singing and many people singing, and the lead and chorus are alternating. In the process of singing, people also spontaneously create a lot of vivid lyrics, making this kind of song very artistic and appealing. Xiaoquzi: folk ditty, characterized by easy-to-understand language, smooth tune, easy to sing, regular rhythm, and symmetrical two-phrase or four-phrase music. Its subject matter is the most extensive, involving labor, life, love and other aspects. Due to its regular rhythm, it is organically combined with folk festivals and has become the main music material for people to dance Yangko. Xintianyou: mountain song, characterized by a relatively free rhythm, a long melody, and content that mostly involves love. The music structure is a two-phrase single-phrase body. Generally, except for the first part of the first phrase, which has a free and long rhythm, the rest are more rhythmic. Representative songs include: 1. "Gao Lao Ba", "There are so many poor people in the world, who is like me" (sung by Gao Kui); 2. "Bachelor Crying for His Wife", "Beautiful Girl Scolding Matchmaker" (sung by Xu Hongbin); 3.
