Sangzhi County is located in the northwest of Hunan Province. It borders Shimen and Cili counties to the east, Yongding District of Zhangjiajie City and Yongshun County of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to the south, Longshan County of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to the west, and Xuanen and Hefeng counties of Hubei Province to the north. Sangzhi folk songs originated from the production labor in the primitive farming period. Its main artistic style is simple, rough, humorous and humorous. After thousands of years of tempering, Sangzhi folk songs have shown unique artistic charm in singing and chanting. In summary, it has two aspects of value: (i) social and cultural aspects. Sangzhi folk songs are the product of Sangzhi's unique geographical environment and closed and semi-closed living conditions. In addition, the special method of moistening the tune and the breath singing technique of Sangzhi folk songs have greatly enriched the theory of folk song singing and provided a unique example for vocal singing. Representative songs in Sangzhi folk songs such as "Chestnuts Bloom in a Line", "Flowers Bloom in Four Seasons", "Hanging a Lamp at the Door", "Cold Water Brews Tea Slowly", and "Ma Mulberry Trees Build Lighthouses" have become classics in the treasure house of Chinese folk songs.
