Reclusive Culture 1,600 years ago, Tao Yuanming wrote the famous "Peach Blossom Spring" with his poetic elegance and etherealness. Since then, "Peach Blossom Spring" has become a spiritual home in the hearts of Chinese people that is indifferent to the world and detached from the world. Zhushan, located in the hinterland of Qinba, has been associated with the "Peach Blossom Spring" that everyone yearns for because of many factors such as the establishment of Wuling County in history and the village named Taoyuan in Nanshan. In recent years, CCTV has made "explorations and discoveries", reporters from "National Geographic China" magazine have visited the source, and major portals such as Sina and Sohu have published tens of thousands of information. There is an endless stream of hikers from all walks of life, and it seems to be becoming popular all the way. In 2006, more than 20 experts from Beijing, Wuhan and other places conducted on-site inspections and believed that the scenery in Wuling Canyon in Guandu Town, Zhushan County is very similar to "Peach Blossom Spring". Whether in terms of natural ecology or historical culture, this place is very similar to the prototype of Peach Blossom Spring. Professor Zhang Lianggao of Huazhong University of Science and Technology has long been committed to the study of folk history and culture. He proposed the following evidence that Zhushan Wuling Gorge is the prototype of Taohuayuan: First, during the Taiyuan period of the Jin Dynasty as described in "Taohuayuan Ji", there was only Zhushan called "Wuling County" on the Chinese map; Second, "Taohuayuan Ji" said that after the Wuling fisherman came out of Taohuayuan, he told the county governor about it, and the governor sent people to look for it. Later, Liu Ziji of Nanyang heard about this and was happy to go there. Both of them failed. In ancient times, information was not smooth. It is believed that this county must be very close to Nanyang, so Liu Ziji of Nanyang would hear about this. The only county adjacent to Nanyang was Shangyong County. Thirdly, the people of Taohuayuan hid in the mountains to avoid the Qin Rebellion, which occurred in the area of Hanzhong County and Nanyang. This was an ancient battlefield, so the people nearby would hide in the hidden mountains nearby. Fourthly, the natural landscape here is more in line with Tao Yuanming's "Peach Blossom Spring". It is not easy to find, and even the local people who have lived nearby for generations rarely go in. In August 2011, after walking through Wuling Gorge, County Party Secretary She Lizhu said with surprise that Wuling Gorge is a precious resource left by nature to the people of Zhushan. Indeed, from the beautiful and deep scenery of the long gorge to the magical and ethereal hermit culture, "Zhushan Taohuayuan" has left a valuable treasure to Zhushan and even the world with its unique resources and huge cultural potential. From the perspective of cultural connotation, the characteristics of Wuling hermit culture are the human spiritual pursuit of freedom, elegance, magic and emptiness. The reason why "Peach Blossom Spring" can be passed down through the ages is that in this short story, there are beautiful scenery of Taoyuan, deep canyons, villages, exploration of the mysterious, and rich aesthetic elements. In the world, everyone hopes to find a spiritual paradise that belongs to him. People's yearning for a perfect spiritual world will even surpass the material world and become the ultimate pursuit. This is why many ancient masters and hermits, such as Tao Yuanming, gave up the prosperity of the world and escaped into the mountains and forests to live out their lives. "Peach Blossom Spring" should be an important model and symbol for studying and revealing the Chinese hermit culture. Taoyuan and Wuling have also become important elements of literature and poetry creation from ancient times to the present. From a social perspective, Wuling hermit culture advocates a harmonious, peaceful, friendly and peaceful world of great harmony. The lives of people in "Peach Blossom Spring" are full of great love, equality, harmony, and transcendence. This is not only the great harmony society that ancient benevolent sages pursued all their lives, but also the ideal version of building a harmonious and civilized society today. In modern society, the humanistic spirit of "Peach Blossom Spring" is promoted and spread, so that every Zhushan person knows that they live in "Peach Blossom Spring on Earth". It can subtly purify people's hearts and form a social trend of everyone being kind, which has a lasting significance of the times. It is worth mentioning that from the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty, Zhushan was once called "Ancheng", "Qian", "Xin'an", "Fu'an", etc. I wonder if it has some intrinsic connection with "Peach Blossom Spring". From the perspective of tourism value, Wuling Gorge and Peach Blossom Spring show the world a beautiful, original, simple and distant human world. The streams are gurgling, the ancient trees are lush, the canyons are deep, and the villages are looming. Every person who is there is amazed: the mountains and rivers here are so beautiful, and it is almost like what Tao Yuanming described. According to incomplete statistics, in 2005 alone, there were thousands of "hikers" from all over the country who spontaneously entered the gorge. The beautiful mountains and rivers, coupled with the mysterious culture, make Wuling Gorge and Peach Blossom Spring irresistible to the Chinese people. Positioning Zhushan's tourism as "Nuwa mending the world, and the Peach Blossom Spring on Earth" is appropriate, accurate, and well-matched. Of course, compared with Changde and Zhangjiajie in Hunan, the tourism here has just started, and it needs to further package the scenic area, improve facilities, and strengthen promotion. It also requires "South Yong" and "North Yong" to join hands to make the brands of the two "Peach Blossom Springs" in the north and south bigger and stronger, and achieve win-win development. Nuwa Culture Nuwa mending the sky is a story that has been passed down through the ages. Regarding the specific location of the holy place for mending the sky, Xu Dao's "The Complete Biography of Immortals" in the Ming Dynasty and the "Kangxi Dictionary" in the Qing Dynasty clearly record that it is Nuwa Mountain in Zhushan County, Hubei. The Kangxi Dictionary states under the entry for "Wa": "Shuowen Jiezi" says that the ancient goddess was the one who transformed all things. She was also the first to make the sheng (sheng or reed pipe). "Li Ming Tang Wei" says that Nuwa made the sheng (sheng or reed pipe). "Shi Ji Wu Di Ji" says that Nuwa refined five-colored stones to mend the sky. Nuwa Mountain is located in the west of Zhushan County, Yunyang, where it is said that she refined stones to mend the sky." The Complete Biography of Immortals vividly records Nuwa's activities in Zhushan and the process of refining stones to mend the sky. In recent years, Zhushan County has focused on the cultivation of the Nuwa cultural brand, vigorously developed cultural productivity, developed landscape and human resources, created the "Nuwa mends the world, the Peach Blossom Spring on Earth" ecological and cultural tourism brand, and built a "charming ecological and cultural county"; it has amplified the cultural effect, promoted the Nuwa culture, inherited the Nuwa spirit, and given strong leapfrog development, and is committed to building a "Ten-star Highland Qinba Strong County".
