Ancient building construction (wooden bracket) skills, a traditional skills project of the sixth batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at the municipal level in Lianyungang City. Ancient Haizhou belongs to the central and eastern regions in the national regional form. According to the division of the Yangtze River, the north of the Yangtze River is usually called "the north" and the south of the Yangtze River is called "the south". There are also some distinctions in the architectural style of Haizhou alone. The architecture in the north is called "Beijing style" and the architecture in the south is called "Su style" (based on the original construction method). The difference between the two styles of Beijing-style architecture and Su-style architecture is mainly reflected in: the construction nature of Beijing-style architecture is strict, magnificent, with carved beams and painted buildings, magnificent, and showing the royal spirit. The Su-style architecture in the south is demanding in its construction, adapting to local conditions, using materials according to their size, small and exquisite, with white walls and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water, and profound artistic conception, showing the ingenious ideas and profound artistic attainments of the versatile craftsmen. Ancient Haizhou has a long cultural history and is home to many merchants. Various types of traditional-style buildings have continued to develop. The building types are roughly divided into city defense, temples, monasteries, merchants, and residential buildings. According to local historical records, ancient Haizhou is more than 1,500 years old.
