The musical instruments produced reflect the ethnic characteristics of the Uyghur people and are closely related to the cultural activities of the ethnic group. The Uyghur folk musical instruments produced in Shufu County are exquisitely made, beautifully decorated, and have unique sound quality, fully reflecting the wisdom and artistic talent of the Uyghur people. The Uyghur musical instrument making technique in Xinhe County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region originated from the ancient Kucha Kingdom in the Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 2,000 years. It has strict requirements on the production materials and selects high-quality mulberry wood to form a special sound effect. Xinhe musical instruments are rigorously made, beautifully decorated, and have unique timbre. They are mostly used for family banquets and music, showing the traditional cultural characteristics of the Uyghur people.
