According to Wen Zhu, Li Tu and Guo Xiangyi, Qian drum artists in Dongpu Village, Dongpu Village has been built for more than 300 years. When their ancestors immigrated from Zhangzhou, Fujian to Dongpu Village, they brought Qian drum dance and it has been passed down from generation to generation to this day. The music, lyrics and dance style of Donghai Qian drum dance are still the same as the form and style of "Nanyin" and "Xiaoliyuan" in Fujian, and it has always been sung in Fujian Minnan dialect.
