Playing with stone poles and stone locks Stone poles and stone locks were used by the people in ancient times to practice weightlifting, and later developed into a sports competition. In the 1920s and 1930s, Cha Ruilong of Zhabei District created a series of difficult moves in the stone pole and stone lock project, and was hailed as the "Eastern Hercules". From 1934 to 1946, Cha Ruilong led a delegation to visit Southeast Asia five times; in 1938, he founded the Shanghai Amateur Sports Research Association; in 1939, he edited "New Martial Arts"; after the founding of the People's Republic of China, folk stone poles and stone locks became more active. In 1958, he held a training camp for the Shanghai Stone Pocket and Stone Lock Competition and trained a large number of stone pole and stone lock backbones. In 1964, he continued to teach and preach. In 1972, Cha Ruilong died of illness. In 1974, Beijing Institute of Physical Education filmed the movements of the Zhabei District Shidan and Shisuo Team into a film. Although many of the difficult stunts have been lost, there are still enthusiasts who exercise in groups in Zhabei Park every Saturday and Sunday morning. 1. Shidan Shidan is divided into several types of 40, 60, 80, 100, and 180 jin. The large ones are used for clean and jerk, and the small ones are used for tricks. The activity tricks include head flower, shoulder flower, waist flower, crotch flower, back flower, neck flower, hand flower, foot flower, big knife flower, front and back plum blossom, old monk ringing the bell, single flower in the wind, Su Qin carrying the sword, pulling the flag in the wind, shoulder clamp, upright, soft upright and other movements. The difficult movements created by Cha Ruilong include piercing heart flower, double shoulder flower, head cloud, head flower iron back, etc. He can let the 180-jin stone carry fly like a steel fork. 2. Shisuo Shisuo spread along with the stone carry. It is a rectangular stone with a handle carved into the shape of an ancient lock, so that it can be lifted, caught, thrown, and grabbed. The weight ranges from 8 to 75 kilograms. It is mainly based on colorful movements, and the large stone locks over 20 kilograms are mainly used for strength. Among the colorful movements, there are head-top, Guan Gong taking off his robe, and black tiger piercing the crotch.
