Shifan Gonggu is a folk music form that is the result of the intersection of Hui culture and Jiuhua Mountain Buddhist culture. The history of Ducun Shifan Gonggu can be traced back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and the musicians were all local farmers. The most distinctive feature of Shifan Gonggu is the percussion part, which reflects the division of labor of musical instruments and the high skills of the musicians. The performance of "Shifan Gonggu" is mainly performed by instruments such as gongs, leather drums, crisp drums, big cymbals, small cymbals, suona, transverse flute, cloud board, etc. The whole song uses percussion instruments of various timbres, accompanied by the beautiful melody of suona and string instruments, which is elegant and beautiful. Popular in the Qing Dynasty, it is often played at Lantern Festival and other festive events. It is played while walking through villages and alleys. It is melodious and pleasant to the ears, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Performances can be performed on a fixed stage or in a theater.
