Qionglai, formerly known as Linqiong, was built at the same time as Chengdu in the 14th year of the reign of King Huiwen of Qin (331 BC), and is one of the four famous historical and cultural cities in Bashu. Wang Bao of the Western Han Dynasty said that Wuyang (actually Xinjin) in "Wuyang sells tea" was a tea market rather than a tea producing area. The Linqiong City established in 331 BC governed Chongzhou, Xinjin, Dayi, Dujiangyan, etc. in present days. During the Sui Dynasty, it even included Mingshan and Lushan. It was the main tea producing area in western Sichuan and was a veritable "tea county" and "tea prefecture" in history. Wuyang actually belonged to Linqiong. Lu Yu's "The Classic of Tea" said that among the famous tea drinkers of all dynasties, "there were Yang Xiong and Sima Xiangru in the Han Dynasty". Sima Xiangru was the master of Han Fu who performed a love story with Zhuo Wenjun in Qionglai. Sima Xiangru's "Fanjiang Pian" on tea was the first tea paper in China, which should have been written after drinking Qionglai tea; Yang Xiong's "Dialects" on tea described the same customs as Qionglai. In the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, Qiong tea (also known as Qiongzhou tea) was listed as a famous tea by the imperial court. Its varieties include Early Spring, Before Fire, After Fire, Tender Green, Bud Tea, Mengdong, and Tiejia, etc. The monograph "Tea Road" lists Wenjun tea as the 13th of the 90 "modern famous teas" in the country. The predecessor of Sichuan Wenjun Tea Co., Ltd. is the earliest tea enterprise in the country and the province. It was formerly the Qingming Tea House established in 1939, the Qionglai Tea Factory in 1951, and later renamed the Wenjun Tea Factory. It was integrated and reorganized into the current company in 1998. The company integrates regional resources, historical culture, and traditional craftsmanship, and divides its products into three series: Wenjun Green Tea is a famous tea that has been popular since the Han Dynasty; Wenjun Brick Tea is the most important famous tea circulated on the Ancient Tea Horse Road; Wenjun Flower Tea is a fashionable famous tea that has been popular since the Qing Dynasty. Among them, Wenjun brick tea has been the most popular tea among ethnic minorities in Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet and Guizhou for hundreds of years, while brick tea with dragon and phoenix patterns is the "tribute tea" presented to the imperial court. The company currently has only one brick in the country, which is the "treasure of Qionglai tea". In 2007, the company was awarded the title of "Top 100 Chinese Tea Enterprises" and in 2010 was named "National Leading Enterprise in Agricultural Industrialization". Sichuan tea master Qiu Langeng, National Food Association Consultant Yu Ruomu, Chinese Tea Master Huang Guoguang, Honorary Director of the China Tea Association and Vice Chairman of the International Tea Association Chen Zongmao and many other experts visited the company and spoke highly of Wenjun tea and its traditional craftsmanship. Qionglai tea is a leading product of the local agricultural economy that condenses more than 2,000 years of history and culture in Qionglai. Its value includes seven aspects: (1) Historical value It contains a historical story and historical figures that are recorded in history. (2) Cultural value It is a famous tea with rich connotations that is loved by authors of Chinese tea papers and chanted by literati of all generations. (3) National unity value It is an important commodity transported to the inland areas on the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road, especially the favorite daily necessities of the ethnic minorities in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Tibet. (4) Regional symbol value Zhuo Wenjun is a symbolic figure in the history of Chengdu. Qiong tea is widely known for her name. The production areas once included cities and counties in western Sichuan that still produce famous tea. (5) Scientific value The traditional craftsmanship of the three series of Qiong tea has not been lost to this day, and because of the support of economic strength, it can further explore its ancient methods and modern ways. (6) Brand value Qiong tea series products have won many honors, such as "Quality Products of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries" (National Quality), "Sichuan Famous Tea", etc. Its trademark is a famous trademark in Sichuan Province. (7) Practical value The vast majority of tea farmers have benefited from this and can even make a living without going out. The company has contributed considerable fiscal and tax revenue to the country and the local area. The story of Zhuo Wenjun and Sima Xiangru is the earliest love story recorded in official history. Zhuo Wenjun is recognized by all dynasties as one of the four great talented women in ancient China. Sima Xiangru is the master of Han Dynasty prose. His prose has influenced China for more than 2,000 years. These two legendary figures have added luster to the history of Bashu. Traditional products named after ancient talented women and containing rich culture have been passed down for a long time, allowing people to remember and be proud of them forever. This is a blessing that only very few regions can have. As the company's leading product, it drives the development of other local industries, especially the increasingly prosperous tourism industry in Qionglai, which is mainly characterized by leisure, vacation, and health care. Qionglai tea is the most favorite product of tourists and the leader of other local tea brands. It comprehensively drives the process of rural growers to become well-off. It is a green leading industry that the local government vigorously protects.
