"Yanxing Paper-cutting" was founded by some paper-cutting enthusiasts from Yanxing Community, Yuejin Village Street, Dadukou District, based on the absorption of many expression techniques such as Chinese painting, printmaking, pyrography, and cloth applique. "Yanxing Paper-cutting" has a strong Bayu cultural feature, and is known as the "three folk treasures" of Chongqing along with Qijiang printmaking and Tang Dynasty ladies' paintings in Zhongxian. Yanxing Paper-cutting has participated in the cultural exhibition of the 5th Asia-Pacific City Mayors Summit held in Chongqing, the China (Tianjin) Folk Art Boutique Expo, the 2nd Elderly Industry Expo held in Chongqing, and the China (Chengdu) 2nd Western Cultural Expo. Currently, ten paper-cutting masterpieces have been collected by the Chongqing Three Gorges Museum, China, and won the silver medal of the 3rd China (Tianjin) Folk Art Boutique Expo co-organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Folk Artists Association, and the UNESCO International Folk Art Organization, and the silver medal of the 2007 China Paper-cutting Art Boutique Expo. Yanxing Paper-cutting Art Center was named "Chongqing Youth Culture Demonstration Group" by the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. It has been identified as one of the 30 creative industry projects in Chongqing and included in the five-year work plan of the Dadukou District Government. At the 2007 China (Chongqing) Entrepreneurship Project Exhibition and Wealth Forum, "Yanxing Paper-cutting" was favored by more than 30 agents from all over the country. After two years of development, the annual sales of "Yanxing Paper-cutting" has successfully exceeded 200,000 yuan.
