Horse racing also has a long history among the Mongolian people. Mongolian horse racing includes walking horse racing, galloping horse racing, and many kinds of fancy racing. Mongolian horse racing is not only a "test for people and animals". Mongolian horse racing (Historical Records of the Xiongnu) is also a mass sports activity. There is no limit to the number of participants, some are dozens of people, and some are hundreds of people; there is no limit to age, from white-haired old people to underage children; there is no limit to ethnicity, and all ethnic groups can participate. The Nadam Festival held below the county level and folk and traditional horse racing activities are all held on the grassland. Because the grassland is flat and open, horse racing is mostly not divided into groups. Dozens of racers start at the same time, regardless of time, and the ranking is determined by the order of reaching the destination (mostly returning to the starting point along the designated route). In folk horse racing, in order to reduce the load on the horse, most of them do not have saddles, and the contestants do not wear riding boots. But the contestants like to wear colorful robes and tie red and green headscarves on their heads, which makes them look cool and capable. At the beginning of the competition, the referee fired the gun, and the horses galloped like arrows. The audience cheered, and the gongs and drums sounded. At the end of the competition, when the winners walked onto the podium, the folk singers immediately sang: With ears like lotus petals, with eyes like stars, on the Nadam of tens of thousands of people, huyi, like an arrow running in the front. These singing words inspired the hearts of millions of people and showed the heroic spirit of a nation.
