Longjiang Shadow Play Project Batch: National 3rd Batch, Provincial 1st Batch Project Protection Unit: Harbin Children's Art Theater Representative Inheritors: Xue Zhaoping (National) Gao Shufang Longjiang Shadow Play is one of the main schools of Heilongjiang Shadow Play, integrating different styles such as "Leting Shadow", "Liaoning Shadow", "Jiangnan Shadow" and "Jiangbei Shadow". It was formed in the Harbin Daowai North Market in the early years of the Republic of China in the 20th century, and is mainly distributed in Harbin, Shuangcheng, Bin County, Shangzhi City, Wuchang City, Heping Power, Yushu County and other places. The performance is a self-contained system. The singing style consists of three parts: shadow tune, external tune (qupai), and miscellaneous tunes. The method of "finger manipulation" is used to create a variety of scene lights such as cloud lights, rain lights, flash lights, spotlights, and rotating lights. Most of the traditional shadow scrolls are based on stories such as public cases, swordsmen, battles, courts, market folk customs, fables and legends. Single-roll shadows are very rare, and most of them are cost-intensive series of plays. Classic plays include "Old Li with Bald Tail", "Pigsy Carrying His Wife on His Back", "Flooding Jinshan Mountain", etc.
