Khami (also written as Khame, Kame or Kami) is a ruined city located 22 kilometres west of Bulawayo, in Zimbabwe.
The stone found at Khami (laminar granite) was different from the ones found in other areas of Zimbabwe (biotite).
In the early 2000s, the National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe launched a conservation and recording programme whose purpose was to focus on preserving and restoring the stone walls.

Its historical importance lies in its position at the watershed between the history of Great Zimbabwe and the later Zimbabwe period.
It is one of the few Zimbabwe sites that were not destroyed by treasure hunters and its undisturbed stratigraphy is scientifically important in providing a much clearer insight into the history of the country.
